    TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Senior Political Affairs Advisor (m/f/d) at our location Brussels who will contribute to this and that might be you?

    Your contribution to TenneT

    The role of a Senior Political Affairs Advisor (m/f/d) includes the central responsibility for political communication with the European institutions as well as the issue management towards the organisation. The position is part of the Political Affairs department in the PUC unit that comprises PA, Communication, Community relations and media relations.
  • In this role you are responsible to represent TenneT's interests at European level and to identify upcoming EU legislative procedures and supporting the political processes relevant to the organisation
  • Your are responsible to participate in the coordination of Group positions with all relevant stakeholders within TenneT and ongoing updates on relevant developments
  • Maintain a high-level network with the EU Commission, Council of Ministers and European Parliament, Representation of TenneT in European committees and coordinate political work on EU-relevant topics within TenneT
  • Arrangement and preparation of Executive Board meetings in Brussels (high-level talks, bilateral meetings, etc.) and organisation of events
  • Furthermore you are the Contact person for enquiries from the political arena

    • Your profile and background

  • You have successfully completed your university degree , preferably in political science or economics
  • You have several years of experience in an international and complex environment of companies, administration or parliament as well as in the political environment of Brussels and an existing effective network in Brussels
  • Furthermore you have sveral years of experience and a confident manner in public appearances in front of international audiences, e.g. when presenting speeches, panel discussions and political events
  • You have strong communication skills and a confident manner at various hierarchical levels and in the European political environment and In-depth knowledge of EU legislative procedures and the workings of EU institutions
  • Your English is business fluent ; Knowledge of Dutch or another European language is desirable but not required
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
