    Anglo Belgian Corporation, met hoofdzetel in Gent, is één van Europa's meest toonaangevende middelsnellopende motorfabrikanten. ABC-motoren worden gebruikt in schepen, locomotieven en generatorsets. Anglo Belgian Corporation werkt voortdurend aan de ontwikkeling van nog efficiëntere motoren met meer vermogen, een lager brandstofverbruik en dus minder uitstoot.

    DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT
    We versterken graag onze R&D-afdeling, met een collega met zin voor verbetering

    FUNCTIE

  • Je analyseert technische problemen en stelt verbeteringen voor. Deze werk je uit in overleg met de productieafdeling of leverancier. Je werkt deze oplossingen ook uit in 3D, of werkt hiervoor samen met een 3D designer
  • Je stelt een vereenvoudigd model op van praktische systemen en maakt daarop berekeningen of simulaties, die je vervolgens interpreteert
  • Je bepaalt inputgegevens voor complexe simulaties die worden uitgevoerd door leveranciers of externe studiebureaus; je volgt dit op en interpreteert de resultaten
  • Je ondersteunt de project afdeling met torsie-trillingsberekeningen
  • Je test nieuwe of verbeterde ontwerpen. Dit omvat zowel interpretatie van dimensionele controles, testen op de proefbank en eventueel testen bij de klant (schepen, landinstallaties, locomotieven)
  • Je zet de onderzoeksresultaten om in nieuwe standaard productspecificaties. Hiervoor voer je de aanpassing ook door in ons ERP systeem (Infor LN)
  • Je informeert de betrokken diensten (projectingenieurs, sales, ...) over de gevonden resultaten en door te voeren wijzigingen
  • Je ondersteunt de montage, productie- en aankoopafdeling bij technische vragen over de motorcomponenten
  • Je volgt de nieuwe technologieën op en bekijkt de meerwaarde op vlak van productverbetering en analysemethodes
  • Je rapporteert aan de R&D Manager

  • Je bent een teamplayer met sterke interpersoonlijke vaardigheden en verantwoordelijkheidszin
  • Je werkt gestructureerd en bent analytisch sterk
  • Je hebt een hogere technische opleiding genoten, of verwierf deze kennis door ervaring
  • Je hebt een degelijke kennis van mechanische berekeningen en interesse in motoren
  • Je hebt basiskennis van productietechnieken en materiaalkunde
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van Nederlands en Engels. Kennis van Frans en/of Duits is een plus
  • Relevante ervaring versterkt je kandidatuur, net als kennis van software pakketten: Infor LN, AutoCad, Catia, Excel(VBA)
