The Craft Manager BeNeLux has as a main objective to develop and grow the sales volume & value and the brand value of the Belgomalt brand. By developing the product portfolio, brand personality and driving initiatives to increase Belgomalt's brand presence in both domestic and export markets the craft manager will increase the value of Belgomalt and support export plans to new and existing markets.
Your responsibilities will exist of but not be limited to:
• Work with Group Craft Manager to develop and implement the Belgomalt Craft strategy with a focus on BeNeLux and supporting the development export markets (incorporating relevant market research and intelligence)
• Define the pricing and marketing strategy.
• Grow the Belgomalt customer base. This requires regular customer visits in the BeNeLux region.
• Define and contribute to brand building for the Belgomalt craft business unit
• Monitor, manage and follow-up on the handling of orders by other departments and third parties.
• Look to implement and oversee effective logistics/transport contractual arrangements as required for the Craft Business
• Define, set up and implement the marketing & communication strategy as well as actions deriving therefrom, managing the relevant stakeholders in such process.
• Define and manage the execution of the product strategy for our brand: which products do we sell? What packaging do we need/use? What services do we offer?
• Develop, set up and lead appropriate actions to develop the business and customer relationships (website development, brochures, events, fairs, discounts and incentives, services). A certain degree of travel for (international) fairs is required.
• Set and agree annual operating (operations, marketing, projects etc.) budgets and monitor ongoing performances.
• Take responsibility for and lead craft services to include CRM, technical services, assistance and troubleshooting. This requires coordinating the cooperation with our quality department.
• Work in synergy with Group functions.
• Assist as necessary the roll-out of a Craft business initiative across other geographies and in particular support exports from the Belgium.
• Assist the Operations team to maximise malt quality in line with the potential of the malting barley crop, as measured by micro malting analysis.
• Work with the local operations teams to ensure effective packaging, stock management and quality control of deliveries
• Define, set up, track and optimise our KPI drivers to always satisfy the KPI drivers in the brewery/distillery - in line with our business objectives.
• Review and report against KPI variances.
Master recherché
• Minimum of 5 years in a commercial role or environment ideally within the brewing, wine and/or spirits industry.
• Educated to degree level Master.
• Brewing knowledge or a relevant qualification is essential.
• Experience in setting up and managing logistical operations.
• Strong Knowledge in Marketing/communication and sales strategy development.
• A proven track record in Customer Relationship Management is required.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English. German is desirable.
• Ability to use usual business software: Word/Excel/PowerPoint, CRM systems (Zoho, Salesforce or similar) and ERP experience (SAP, JD Edwards or similar).
• Experience with social media and webshop applications is a plus.
