    Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1, employees active in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling.

    For our Nextgrid division at our headquarters in Brussels (near the train station and subway, ) we're looking for an External Affairs Assistant (m/f/x).

    Nextgrid is a business unit of Fluxys Belgium that develops decarbonisation solutions, including the transport and import infrastructure of "clean" molecules, as well as infrastructure for the transport and export of hydrogen and captured carbon. Building on Fluxys' unique strengths and long-standing expertise, we are accelerating the transition to a greener future. Our mission is to make Belgium a European hub for low-carbon molecules and CO2. We are driven by innovation and our positive impact on tomorrow's energy landscape.

    As External Affairs Assistant, you will support our External Affairs team in managing communication, stakeholder engagement and public relations activities. This position is a great opportunity for a proactive and dynamic person interested in starting a career in external affairs and public relations within Fluxys' rapidly changing working environment.

    Your
    respon­sibilities

  • Public relations support: You will assist with public relations actions, such as managing media requests, conducting intakes, arranging interviews and preparing Fluxys spokespersons for media interactionsYou assist in drafting and editing press releases and other PR materialsYou assist in analysing media outreach and make suggestions on how to strengthen external communication on the company's energy transition activities
  • Funding support: You actively participate in the preparation of funding dossierThe corresponding reporting and follow-up are also part of your duties
  • Stakeholder engagement: You assist in maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as government agencies, industry organisations and community partnersYou provide support in organising meetings, events and engagement to foster positive relationships and partnerships
  • Administrative support: You will provide administrative support to the External Affairs team such as scheduling internal and external meetings and preparing and organising documents

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public/External Relations, Journalism or a related field
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills
  • A basic knowledge of public relations and media relations principles is an asset
  • You are passionate about Microsoft Office Suite and are familiar with social media platforms
  • You have the ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic and constantly changing environment
  • You have strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • You are Dutch- or French-speaking and have a good knowledge of the other national language. You are also fluent in English
